PISTAFIT terms of use
Effective date: 13 September 2026
Published at https://pistafit.pistasspot.com/terms.
the short version
PISTAFIT is a free log book for your training and your food. One person makes it, and it is offered as is. It is not a doctor, a dietitian, a physiotherapist or a coach. Use your own judgement, and a real professional's, for anything that affects your health. If you do not agree with what follows, do not use the app.
who provides this
PISTAFIT is an Android app made and operated by PISTA, an independent developer, referred to below as "we" and "us". These terms are the agreement between you and PISTA for your use of the app, the API it talks to, and the pages on https://pistafit.pistasspot.com.

accepting these terms
Installing or using PISTAFIT means you accept these terms. If you use the app on behalf of someone else, you are confirming you are allowed to.
PISTAFIT is not intended for anyone under 13, and we do not knowingly provide accounts to anyone under 13. If you are between 13 and the age of majority where you live, use it with a parent's or guardian's agreement.
this is not medical advice
This matters more than anything else in this document, so it is not buried in the small print.
PISTAFIT records numbers you type in and does arithmetic on them. Calorie and protein targets, the 7-day weight average, warm-up ramps, suggested weight increases, estimated 1RM figures, streaks and weekly summaries are all generated by simple formulas from your own entries and your own answers during setup. They are not a diagnosis, a prescription, a training programme written for you, or a nutrition plan reviewed by anyone.
- Talk to a doctor, a registered dietitian, a physiotherapist or a qualified coach before you start training, change how you train, change what you eat, begin a calorie deficit, or start any supplement, including creatine.
- This is especially important if you are pregnant, under 18, over 65, have an injury, an eating disorder or a history of one, diabetes, heart, kidney or liver conditions, or take any medication.
- Stop and get medical help if you feel chest pain, faint, dizzy, unusually short of breath, or if something hurts in a way that is not ordinary training soreness.
- Do not use PISTAFIT to delay or replace professional medical care, and do not use its numbers to justify eating less than a professional has told you to.
Lifting weights and changing your diet carry real risk of injury and harm. You choose whether to train and what to eat, and the consequences of those choices are yours.
your account
An account is optional. Everything in the app works without one; an account exists only to back your log up on the server. Be clear about what that does and does not do today: the log is uploaded, and signing in on a new device restores the profile and targets you set during onboarding, but this release has no way to pull your history back down onto a new device. The export under the MORE tab is what moves your log. See the privacy policy for what is uploaded.
- Give a real email address you control. You need it to verify the account and to reset a password.
- Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account, and for keeping the device that holds your session secure.
- One person per account. Do not share it with anyone, and do not sell or transfer it.
- Tell us at freeaccforu98@gmail.com if you think someone else has got in.
Deleting it. You can delete your account at any time, yourself, from inside the app: the MORE tab → account → delete account. That removes your account and every server-side record attached to it immediately, and it cannot be undone. You do not have to ask us or give a reason. There is no waiting period. Deleting the account does not delete what is stored on your own device; uninstalling does that.
acceptable use
Use PISTAFIT to log your own training and your own food. Do not:
- break the law with it;
- use it to harm or harass anyone, or to impersonate them;
- attempt to reach another user's account or data, or any part of the service you have not been given access to;
- attack the service — scraping, credential stuffing, denial of service, deliberately working around rate limits, or automating the API beyond what a normal app client does;
- test the security of the service without asking us first, probing and scanning included;
- reverse-engineer the service to build a competing product;
- upload anything unlawful, or anything you do not have the right to upload;
- resell access to the service, or charge anyone for it.
The app's source is not public. Copyright in the code stays with PISTA: you are granted no right to copy or redistribute it, and no right to modify it. These terms govern the hosted service and the app as distributed.
We may suspend or close an account that is being used this way. Where it is reasonable to, we will tell you why first.
what we owe you, and what we do not
Availability. PISTAFIT is free and runs on modest infrastructure. The sync API may be slow or unavailable, and it can be taken down for maintenance. None of that comes with notice. The app is built so that this does not stop you logging: everything is written to your device first and syncs later.
Changes to the app. Features may be added, changed or removed between releases. If something is going to be removed that holds your data, we will say so in the app before it happens, and your export stays available.
Your data. How your information is handled is described in the privacy policy, which is part of these terms. You can export everything as CSV or JSON from the MORE tab at any time, and we would rather you kept your own copy than relied on us for one.
No warranty, in plain words. PISTAFIT is provided "as is" and "as available", with no promises of any kind. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, accurate, or fit for any particular purpose of yours. We do not promise its calculations are right for your body. Sync can fail, and a dead device or a lost database takes your log with it. Keep your own export. To the fullest extent the law allows, all warranties, express or implied, are disclaimed.
Backups. Your export is the backup that is guaranteed to exist, because it sits on your device and you made it. Nothing else is.
limitation of liability
In plain words: this is a free app made by one person, and if it lets you down you get the app, not a payout.
To the fullest extent the law allows, PISTA is not liable for injury, illness, lost training, lost or corrupted data, missed goals, lost profits, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of PISTAFIT or from being unable to use it. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for PISTAFIT in the twelve months before the claim — which for the current release is zero — or ten euro.
Nothing here excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or for fraud, nor for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. If you are a consumer, you keep every right your local consumer law gives you, and nothing above takes those away.
ending it
You can stop using PISTAFIT at any time: delete your account in the app, uninstall, or both. We may end your access if you break these terms, or if the service is discontinued or running it becomes impractical. If PISTAFIT is shut down, we will give at least 30 days' notice in the app and by email to account holders, so that you can export your log first.
The sections on medical advice, no warranty, limitation of liability, and the law below survive the end of this agreement.
changes to these terms
These terms can change when a new feature or a new legal requirement calls for it, and when wording turns out to be unclear.
The current version always lives at https://pistafit.pistasspot.com/terms, and the effective date at the top tells you which one you are reading. Material changes are announced inside the app before they take effect, and, if you have an account with a verified email, by email. Continuing to use PISTAFIT after a change takes effect means you accept the new version. If you do not accept it, delete your account and stop using the app.
law
These terms are governed by the law of PISTA's country of residence, and the courts there have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the EU or the EEA, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory rules of your own country, and you may bring proceedings there.
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force.
